How often should you have your windows cleaned?

A four-weekly visit can suit busy roads, exposed properties or anyone who prefers windows to be kept on top of regularly. It's also a familiar routine for a cleaning round. The trade-off is paying for more visits over a year.

Every eight weeks

Eight-weekly cleaning is a useful middle option for many homes. It reduces visit frequency while still giving the outside glass regular attention. If your windows become visibly dirty before the next visit, a shorter interval might suit you better.

Every twelve weeks

A twelve-weekly interval may suit more sheltered properties or customers comfortable with longer gaps. It isn't inherently unavailable or a special service: you can select it in our enquiry tool. Whether a particular timetable fits an existing round still depends on the postcode.

What about a one-off clean?

One-off cleaning makes sense before moving home, after building work or when you simply want a fresh start. It is usually assessed individually, particularly when there is heavier build-up on frames and sills. It should not be assumed to cost the same as a regular-round visit.

What makes a property need more frequent cleaning?

• Nearby trees, birds and pollen deposits.
• Coastal weather or a position exposed to wind and rain.
• Busy roads and construction dust.
• Large areas of glass where marks are particularly noticeable.
