You can ask for gutter clearing and window cleaning in the same enquiry. It may be convenient to discuss both jobs at once, but they involve different equipment and the cleaning provider must confirm whether they can be done on the same visit. Explore both services in our free guide-price calculator to start.
What is included in a window clean?
Regular exterior window cleaning usually covers the glass, frames and sills. The cleaning frequency can be every four, eight or twelve weeks, depending on your property and the local route. Large glazed doors, unusual rooflights and a neglected first clean should be mentioned separately.
What does gutter clearing involve?
Gutter clearing is about removing accessible leaves, moss and debris from the channels carrying rainwater away from the roof. Cleaning the visible outside of guttering is a different job. A blocked downpipe, damaged gutter bracket or leaking joint may require additional work or a repair assessment.
Will booking the two together cost less?
Do not assume a discount. Hamblin Property Care's current starting bands are from £15 for regular windows on a smaller property and from £55 for gutter clearing on a smaller property. Those are separate indicative starting figures, not a promise of a £70 combined quotation. Access, height, property size and the work's condition still need to be checked.
What should I put in my enquiry?
- Your full postcode and whether the property is a house, bungalow or business.
- Whether the windows need regular visits or a one-off clean.
- Where the gutter problem is, particularly if water overflows near a downpipe.
- Any conservatory roofs, awkward access, extensions or locked side gates.
